"I'm not concerned with your liking or disliking me... All I ask is that you respect me as a human being." Jackie Robinson
This quote shows me that Jackie Robinson had courage and wasn't afraid of what others thought. He knew that not everybody liked him, but that he at least deserved some respect and maturity from fans and teammates.

Have you had any experience with expressing a similar feeling in your own life? Have you ever experienced a time when you knew what you had to do and you went for it, even if others weren't cheering you on and supporting you? What inspires you about Jackie Robinson's story? What makes him a resilient person? What can we learn from him and his experiences?
